Clear and frosty under dead calm winds. It's actually being colder this morning than this time yesterday at -1.5 C with 90% humidity.

Okay, I may not be knee deep in snowdrifts just yet but it is being far more winter-like than last Winter, especially when I'm seeing frost on road surfaces even here at my coastal location!

It looks like we may have had an ice day here in Whitchurch, north Hampshire. It's been very frosty all day and was murky/cloudy for the first half of the day. The sun came out around lunch time though and it has stayed clear since then. When I left home at 2.30 pm the car thermometer was reading -0.5C, and on returning at 4.15 pm it was reading -2C, so I don't think the temperature has got above freezing all day. Certainly this has been the coldest day of 2014.
