A mixed week. Starting cold but ending up potentially very mild.

I'll have the January month ahead forecast coming up later, which I'll post here. Not sure what tomorrow's video will be about, but I suspect the possible change to colder weather mid-month may feature is models are still hinting at this.

Much Colder Second Half To January From CFS And GFS;

Signs of a significant change but could be OTT.

Also has a review of 2014 CET and looks at the chance of some severe gales for the north at the end of the week.

Thanks again Gav for continuing these time consuming videos. I think both the GFS and CFS are overdoing the SSW, we will see a temporary split in the PV and will more than likely get a few days of colder than average temps and maybe some wintry precipitation for those further South this time around, thereafter more of the same really until conditions become more favourable for HLB in February.

I do think we'll get somewhat colder weather during the second half of January, but yeah the GFS/CFS could be going OTT with this one.
