A thin covering on cars, grass, roofs and other favourable surfaces. Snowing right now.
All recent. I woke up at 2am and looked out and it was pouring with rain still.
Sky News are getting as bad as The Express. You'd think the entire country had woke up to three feet of snow.
Light covering herein Peasedown St John N.E. Somerset. Snow still falling as I Post.
A five minute heavy shower last night left a thin covering of snow, and currently we have a light snow shower.
Nothing to get too excited about, but better than the entire season last time round!
Snow in the air in Warminster, tiny bit on the cars but temps too high. Cley Hill looked like a mountain (i.e. snow on top!). Reaching the University (Bath) much snowier and coincided with a decent snow shower. White everywhere but not much really 1cm at best. All in all great to see first snow of 2015 and best snow since 2013 - just hope that's not it for the year!
20cm here
30cm Aviemore
The BBC have a reporter on the top of Dartmoor and even there it's only 1 or 2 cm. Bit embarrassing really although impressive from a westerly.
Certainly plenty of showers. BBC Radio Bristol forecaxt playing down any accumulations away from high ground. Even there she only said a cm or so

Exeter reported 5cm on the 00Z METAR. May be an error of course.

That does look somewhat unlikely, looking at the webcams for nearby M5 Junction 30.http://www.exeterviews.co.uk/ev-director.php?url=www.devon.gov.uk/index/transport/traffic/cctv/all_webcams.htm&st=4
A heavy snow shower now. Looking at the radar that's our lot. Good to see though, all be it briefly.

You've done a lot better with altitude there Dave. I'm in Bath right now and there's bugger all.
I toyed with the idea of driving the long way over the top, but decided to stick to the A46 instead #chicken

Nothing here anyway. There was clearly some precipitation after 4am as the roads were wetter, but no sign it was anything other than liquid.
And about 8.45am there was a very light rain shower (from almost clear blue sky, so it must have blown a long way!)
