Heavy shower of rain here, but there is some sleet mixed in. Temp 5.5c.

I think I'll be up all night lamp post watching!

Sleet/snow shower here in Penrith. Very light although this is the third or fourth time it's given it a go...

Just had a thought, I might get to see a cheeky bit of Channel lightning after dark tonight as cumulonimbus trundle eastwards along the Strait of Dover.

Temp currently 1.3c and a slushy covering (at 270m ASL) and looking at the mountains there's a light covering of snow above ~300-350m - so that's about current  snowline. Should be down to 150-200m or lower by evening I guess!

Amber warning for heavy snow now in my area. 2 periods of heavy snow to co-incide with the next 2 rush hour periods. Interesting...had light snow showers all morning

Cold rain in Manchester. Just been looking at the traffic cams on the M62 over the Pennines, and no lying snow there.

Heavy rain turned to sleet here in uttoxeter. The Buxton webcam and cat and fiddle show it's settling well across there.
