Dull, damp and becoming windy.

All that and the 95% humidity are having the effect of making the current temperature of 8.C feel quite cold and draughty in nature.

Hopefully I may get to see a last minute bit of brightness just before sunset time as the frontal system will have passed over us by then - if my own forecast is anything to go by.

Holy moly, these winds!! It's utterly wild out there! If this thing keeps up momentum I'd expect surprises somewhere, those were easily the strongest winds all winter here.

Hardly any rain but a very squally spell an hour ago with the first front.

had a very squally band of showery rain come through ( but not really heavy as in torrential)- can see the front to south of Birmingham - bright blue skies behind, temp at +8.3c just now.

Some sunshine but cold front out west now far away now, chilly in the strong wind, 8c.

Very mild at 12c here and very windy - rain just started and temp fallen by 1.5c in less than 10 minutes.

another update from me, bit like a bus really....heavy squally hail shower and rain mix coming through but temp seems steady / rise now to 8.7c
