is it me or was it just 5 years ago that the possibility of UPTO 1-2cm would not have warranted a meet warning? Or do i misremember the past (getting old)

I wonder if Ian F can share some light as to why the tv forecasts have been quite poor and don't seem to match the model outputs and/or at times match the text forecasts and warnings.

Not supported by the 120 Fax or any of the output so perhaps METO hinting of a northward push or some retrogressiion in the high. Whatever, this is likely to be very temporary as today's MET updates show high pressure dominating for a month away from the NW.
