So not even in my top 30 cold nights so far this autumn/winter! I expect the breeze is part of the reason why.

EDIT: Now 0.0C, so a ground AND air frost.

Fair and dry with some blue skies and well broken cloud.

The 2.5 C and 81% humidity does feel bracing, though.

- On a final note for now - is it me or is there a problem with the chart's graphics!? Notice the chart doesn't show precipitation as the showers sweep eastwards or do they diminish!? take a look - is this an error? - It virtually shows the areas from West Midlands to the SE dry.

The gin blue skies and brilliant sunshine is certainly more than making up for the lack of snow at this end (not that I was expecting to see the white stuff to turn up in the first place anyway).

The solar heating is now effective enough to warm up my east-facing back end of the house and cause the thermostat to turn itself off at 19 C sooner than usual, the bathroom is like a sauna now that I've just run the bath. The cat is showing his appreciation by rolling and squirming around in the sunlight on the utility room carpet, something I've never seen do since I got him as a kitten a year ago.
