Had a spell of heavy snow early this afternoon with poor visibility and a nice light covering put down.

That does look like an interesting feature and if it stays cold enough it could get nice and snowy somewhere for a time.

Annoyingly it will come down to elevation I think. If we assume it is a PL, I can't help but think that the strong winds around it will just mix the air up even more at lower levels and make it even less marginal for the coastal crew! Perhaps higher areas mid or NE Wales?

Great snowfall in halesworth suffolk today, was playing golf nearby and could see the line which didn't get any closer so afterwards drove towards it. Absolutely hammering it down and was a good covering. The two year wait is over and from a North westerly.

Had a crazy snow shower about 2pm, the sky went really black. Temperature fell below freezing afterwards and has remained below ever since. We have at least 5cm now which is more than i was expecting.

It's now alternating between soft hail, sleet, rain and light snow here. The ground is soaking as a result!
