3dc persistently even overnight. The 'warmest' cold spell for a long while, unusual to have a thaw overnight. DP -1dc . Dont think any of the northerly showers will make it to Glasgow

5c. Earlier rain now cleared. Looking like it could be a very  useable day in the sun. According to forecasts the wind is still biting, but it isn't, so might as well get this tree on my front lawn trimmed back like I've been threatening to do for far too long now

Bright with some sunshine and partial cloud after a very frosty start, there has been a bijou mini-flurry-ette about half an hour ago.

3.0 C with 94% humidity. I suspect that high humidity level thus keeping dewpoints above freezing is what causing that "marginal" element to it all.
