Seems like everywhere in the world is getting more weather extremes... in the UK the boredom and blandness of the weather are at unprecedented levels 😞

Last winter's relentless Atlantic onslaught of severe gales, rain and catastrophic flooding not extreme enough?

yes - at least we saw some snow, not that much for me, but it fell on about 5 occasions, and was very crisp for 2 of those. I'll take that over last years' snowless torrent. And those of the 90s and early naughties, when so many winters were utterly snowless.

I still fancy we'll be getting an early march last plunge of cold and some (often heavy and convective) snow, albeit transient by then.
