After a dismal cloudy day yesterday it cleared during the afternoon to give an unexpected frost. However as always this winter there was no sign of it by morning with the temperature up to 4C.

Cloud has invaded but it is still fairly thin allowing  for some brightness to get through. Unlike in June when the same synoptics brought days on end of thick cloud and drizzle 6.2C now so if there ever was a cold spell it's certainly over now.

After what has been a bright and cheerful start to the day, the expected stratocumulus has filled in the sky and is now quite overcast.

5.5 C with 76% humidity but winds are a lot lighter.

EDIT at 12.15 pm: Actually, it's brightening up again.

Evening

A sunny start but it became cloudy by 9am and then stayed this way all day. We've had drizzle since 6pm.

Currently 4.8c after an earlier max of 6.6c (warmest so far this month).

Last nights low was 2.1c

Looks like being our first frost free night here for quite a few days...
