The first weather forecast with Bill Giles using the "new" computer graphics was on 18.02.1985 when we also said cheerio to the (non)-magnetic weather symbols


This is Bill with the first rather laboured attempt to use the new displays to what must have seemed to the beeb as a largely IT illiterate audience

The "new" graphics are 10 years old in mid-May.

Would love to have seen winter 2009-10 and December 2010 done with the old graphics
