Cloudy and spotting with rain. Radar showing big blob upwind, but might just miss us: been the same story all year. I've been on the edge of many big blobs, that either were snow, could be snow in the centre and which left us a wet sprinkle or at best a dusting and yet a few miles away - they got a couple of inches. Currently 1.9, very calm, just need the precip for evaporative cooling effect. I'm sure someone near is lamppost watching big fluffy flakes of snow right now!! Looking forward to spring now.

Heavy snow here in Mid Sussex,sticking too!

On the Mid Sussex downs,156m amsl on ridge near Ardingly. Igloo built in our garden,2010, lasted till march !

0.1 and drizzle here after a frosty start. Reports of snow in Sussex and West Kent though...

Overnight low -1.7C

EDIT: heavy huge snowflakes for several minutes - just a shame it's not settlling! Just turning a little sleetier again...

Drippy thaw now. Hills completely white. A good hour of 50p size snowflakes. Lovely to watch and a complete surprise (although the possibility of the odd flake was forecast). About a cm in Reigate down in Holmesdale, I'd guess a few cm on the hills around to look that white.

Rather damp and overcast with spitty light cold rain.

5.0 C with 97% humidity under a light north west breeze.

Looks like the "snow core" is just skimming by to my west as I type this. Won't be long before the sun will break through.
