These events come along as often as a decent Easterly - very rarely.
These last few days I've been gauging opinion in The Forum Arms about a potential meet-up of members of TWO. There have been several such meetings in the past, mostly and understandably with a regional bias (Worthing in 2005 for instance, a few in London and Manchester as I recall) and many of you will still hear rumours about what went on at some of them!
I am now pleased to announce the TWO Meet-Up is back, but this time we are going National. You are therefore invited to:

Stamford, Lincs

Saturday, 9th May, 2015
From 2pm

You will see that Stamford is south of centre geographically but north of centre by TWO membership distribution (thanks Darren), so a compromise. It is also on the main N/S rail link (London 1.2hrs; Edinburgh 4hrs) and on the A1 so easy by car.

Details are provisional and room bookings are made at The George Hotel. It is full as far as rooms go but there are other hotels and B&Bs and Travel Inns and Premier Inns in taxi distance. I will be looking at a small charge to cover the room and buffet meal but it won't be a silly amount.

Please feel free to post your thoughts, interest, availability, ideas, etc, in here as the room booking will depend on numbers.
We already have interest from several long-standing members of TWO and I may be able to get a guest speaker.
I am also interested in anyone who would like to give a short talk on a weather interest topic (not too serious - this is a fun evening LOL) so let me know by PM please.

Yes this is not a 'conference' as such, rather a very informal social gathering where family and friends can at last find out what their loved ones have been doing for so much of their time LOL

In a week or so I will start gathering numbers, probably by PM on here, and issue more detail on location, timings, accommodation, programme, etc.

At the moment I hope to be there - worst case may mean not arriving till evening (it's only 3 and a half hours on the train from here)

If the Premier League move the Chelsea game against Liverpool to the Sunday for TV reasons I may be interested, good chance they may do, as it stands I'll be at the wrong Stamford(Bridge)
