Anyone else?

If numbers don't look like increasing to around 15 or so I'm going to have to cancel the room and look for something much simpler, and probably have to change the programme of talks and events.

Not a problem - but if you have any enthusiasm for meeting your fellow members please speak now or forever hold your peace!

I would but you were clever enough to pick the weekend of our wedding anniversary ................not sure I can justify using a TWO meet as the ideal treat

Sorry

I went to the last TWO get together and if I remember correctly it was in November 2007. It was in a very basic hotel in South Norfolk.

I do hope things can go ahead for you at The George in Stamford even if I cannot make it. That is a very nice hotel. My parents have stayed there before my father was ill and I have been there twice in the past for lunch. It is nice.

Wrt to numbers at TWO meetings - The average number of attendance is usually around 7 to 10. If I recall - I think there was about 8 of us at the one in South Norfolk.

Thanks Gavin

Yes I too was at the Norfolk meeting in that large function room - there were about 7 or 8 of us I think.

The Worthing meeting in 2005 was probably the largest so far with over 20 present as I recall. It would be brilliant to get close to that number for this one.

Good morning
I've had to drag this post from the bottom of page 2 so it makes it somewhat easier to announce the event is cancelled.
The event needs around 15 minimum to make it worthwhile, both financially and in terms of the effort by contributors to prepare talks, etc. As of today after five weeks of notice and a few cancelations I have 5 who might attend.

Hope we can do something in the future as I've been to a couple in the past and they're really quite fun

Its's a shame you;ve had to cancel it. But well done for your efforts in planning something.

Before my father was ill I was planning a get together. I was thinking of as business hotel on the Huntington Science Park.

The big question is how much does the room cost and obviously that is a bearing on the cost of the event.

I'm determined to do a get together with this group and when I have the time do so - I'll look into one.

Regional meetings or county based meetings may be the way forward.  Less far to travel.  A few beers in a London pub for the afternoon and early evening could be the way to go, less costly than an overnight stay and central London is within 2 hours of many TWOers.
