Yes I'm not surprised by that really. I was in Frome and they missed much of it their too while Paulton did the same. The corridor of the downpour cut right through the village from the WSW with surface flooding and debris all over the roads here for a short time.

4 days into May and we've already had more rain then either March or April brought...

We're over half way to reaching the May average.

If we reach the May average then will have seen more then March & April combined.

Same story here, 19.6mm for 1st-3rd May beating the 15.0mm seen during April and the 18.4mm seen in March.


With the model output tending to combine warm airmasses with unstable conditions, we could have some high totals by the halfway mark this month.

Another vile day today which has added 20.8mm to the rainfall total. 41.4mm for the first five days which is 528% of average 


74.0mm in total over the past 12 days which is horrendous for what should be the driest time of the year. Seasonal rainfall total has now edged above average having been well below on 23rd April.
