After what actually has been a bright morning with plenty of sunshine, a shower is rattling through as I type this. Naturally, the main feature is the wind where it is being a near gale force south west at the moment.

Pouring with rain here, the wettest day for quite some time. My colleagues in Basingstoke have had three rumbles of thunder in the last few minutes.

5th vile day out of 6 in a month so horrid it would disgrace November.

Sky cleared at sunset yesterday after a foul, cold, wet and sunless day but had almost completely clouded again up by 9am to be followed by another cool, cloudy day with drizzle. Once again temperatures mostly in single figures but briefly made it to 11.4C in a short-lived sunny interval during the afternoon. Back down to a wretched 8.6C now.
