I really shouldn't be in this thread as Nottinghamshire is the thunder capital of the UK. We even made the national news when lightning caused a power outage at a polling station last week. However, this year we haven't had nearly as much as usual and although I think of May as the month of hailstones and thunder, this year it's been relatively quiet so far.
Thunder what's that!
No thunder at all this year thus far. So just one rumble since early August.

Can't recall the last thunderstorm we had. Long may it continue.
None so far... "this month"
Can't hear any thunder here over the noise of the wind through the woodland atm ;-p I can post in here now without fear of being told where to go as have only heard one distant rumble back in March. Unusual here in the Cheshire Gap as we've had a few W to NW unstable flows in. Maybe the sea surface temps being a little lower than usual are making a difference? There is some 100 miles of Irish Sea track when winds are in the WNW here.
