Some rapid cloud development going on at the moment under these showers complete with the odd heavier bursts.

I've just witnessed a decent wall cloud develop complete with heavy percipitation on the back edge all from nothing in the space of 15 minutes.

Tomorrow might be interesting..

Temps widely in the mid-high teens with dew points in the 11-14C range so will be the first humid feeling day of the year.

Heavy rain accompanied by a flash of lightning and thunder at the moment, and another boom as I type.

Incoming thunderstorm. The first flash came out of nowhere!

Edit: About 8 deep rumbles from that. Main thrust missed us to the South although we manged a minute of tropical sized rain drops.

Thunder just gone over here.  A heavy burst of rain, a couple of loud thunder claps and a few distant rumbles.

Thunder and a few flashes of lightening here in Baldock (North Herts)  -  a shame as the beer festival is well underway and with darkening skies to South West looks like a bit more to come

Actually, they usually start in the Derbyshire Peaks and head Eastwards over us, then away across Lincolnshire to the coast!

Properly raining now, where over 6 mm has already fallen so far this evening. No thunder, yet, though. Also feeling quite muggy at 12.8 C since winds are being fairly light at the moment.

Here we had heavy rain last night, and some heavy showers at first, but no thunder.

Lots of convective activity here (Folkestone). Just had a downpour with hail mixed in and looks like there's more upstream.

Several hefty hailstorms this morning and afternoon, finally accompanied by thunder and lightning.  Pretty impressive at sea though, better than over the land.

Look at the wind gusts during showers, really quite a dramatic day with hail and a rumble or two of thunder.
