Heavy rain flattened the garden this morning with 12.2mm falling and a further modest 1mm from a few showers following. 27th/28th added 2.4mm. Month's total now at 85.5mm Doubt we'll achieve the 100mm mark for the month here but it could be close!

Final total here is 97.9mm but probably a little higher than that as there has been a fair amount of hail in the mix at times that has a habit of bouncing off the wide shallow-angled collection area on the electronic gauge but less so on the manual gauge with it's more steeply-angled and smaller collection area

Final total for May here is 73mm, which is getting on for twice the average.   However, nowhere near as wet as May 2014 which delivered 121mm here.


My total for Spring 2015 (March to May) came in almost bang on average, at 118mm.
