Yet another vile sickening total write-off of a Sunday. 8.8C with 5.8mm of rain so far. Heating on at full blast again
9.6 hours of sun across the 5 Sundays of this month plus 28mm of rain and counting makes this the worst month for Sunday weather since June 2007. June 2012 was almost as bad too. The two months that are supposed to bring the best weather delivering the foulest. Sums up what a sick joke the past 8 years have been
Yesterday was crap as well with more unseasonably windy and showery weather. Was able to escape it with a trip down to Fife where the weather was much more pleasant for a walk along the coast from Pittenweem to Elie. If it wasn't for the 13-hour ferry journey I could have tried Shetland. Hard to believe that even they get worse weather than what we are subjected to here weekend after weekend.
Overcast with heavy drizzle, but it's the strong south west wind that is making it feel Autumnal. 14.0 C with 95% humidity.M'eh. Oh well, the lawn is looking healthy for it.
Cloudy and damp, cool and breezy, 13c.
In a word - CRAP.

Sun now out and heading for 12C here in Banchory after a cold and wet morning and early afternoon. We drove back to Banchory from Crieff via the Cairnwell and at the highest point on the road (about 665m) at noon it was 3C on the car thermometer and there were a few blobs of something unmelted in the raindrops hitting the windscreen. Ben a Bhuird and Ben Avon to the north of Braemar had a dusting of new snow above about 850-900m.

After what has been a dull, drab and damp day, the skies are finally clear . . .. . . just as the sun is setting behind the hilly built up part to my north west. 14.0 and 69% and wind had fallen calm.
