Terry Scholey's forecast is exactly what I have been predicting over the last few weeks. I really believe he is accurate on this and would welcome other views on the June forecast. I am convinced the cool pattern will continue and the Met Office have got it wrong with their 'warmer than average temperatures' for the next 4 weeks or so and the maximum temperatures he portrays are correct. Perhaps we can blame it on continual Northern blocking or La Nina ?

That sounds quite poor for Central and Eastern parts especially.

Seems a bit to cool at times. temperatures in general could be steady for June so just about average.

Very rare for him to alter them Gavin, but I'm always impressed by his forecasts and I'm not that easily impressed to start with.😁

Personally I think any forecast should be made and then set in stone to be praised or picked apart, but that's just me.

Personally I think any forecast should be made and then ripped up after 7 days and put in the bin............

Bit of humour as most forecasts start to stray after this period.

You believe he's accurate why?

The Meto have got it wrong why?

To have these views you need to back them up with reason. Hunch doesn't cut it.

I'm not sure if you've looked at the current model outputs or understand them? But as things currently stand the next couple of weeks do not look cool for many. Average would sum it up. Lots of dry weather and temps around the average for the time of year.

Now excuse me whilst I go and dig out my shorts ready for Friday here in the South East

I am not a metreoligist like you Matt.y I read the various posts and look at the charts and am guided by what I see and perceive here locally and trends moving forward reading other weather pages too. Not everyone attending TWO are experts like your goodself but nevertheless try to derive as much knowledge and enjoyment reading the posts and coming to grips with the complexities of weather forecasting. I cannot offer you professional forecasting however I can say we have been plagued by cool winds and in my opinion below average temperatures especially here in London hence asking you if this trend is down to Northern blocking something I hope you can answer?

I'm not a meteorologist. I don't think I have ever seen an optimistic post from you no matter what the charts are showing, or what the experts we do have such as James, Gavin P and Martin write, which leads me to believe there are other motives.

Ive said it before - for the best analysis, read what these three guys are writing

There are no other motives Matty just the way I see our weather patterns .Anyway maybe I am one of those who suffer from SDD: sun deficiency disorder! Anyway enough of the ping pong, I will hopefully look forward to seeing warmer days as summer progresses ...

I refer to the effects of La Nina having already broken down therefore obviously this assumption is incorrect and I apologise for any confusion caused.

Hi Gavin..and any one else for that matter that follow LRF's

Are the forecasts that Terry provide any better than most LRF's that are banded around ?

I see the words 'wondrous' and 'amazing' next to his name and genuinely wonder if he is out performing other outfits ? thanks

Our own Brian Gaze is great as well, IMO.

TWO has a higher "hit" than "Miss" rate, I think,
