A waft of Tm air has at last reached Edinburgh after a Min of 11 C and in weak hazy sun it's already 16 C and feels more humid. A poor forecast yet again though with rain setting in gradually today.

Fine with the sun still shining strongly through thin high cloud. It actually felt properly warm in the sunshine when I popped out to get the papers at 9.15 am.

Occasional rain all day, all night and into tomorrow. The temperature is 15 C but maxed at 18 C late morning, warmest for about 10 days! Very disappointing mid summer!!
