The humidity also seems to be increasing, and the strengthening winds are pulling colder air off the sea. I'll be very surprised if we see 31C now after 4pm.

30.2C at Kew and Heathrow, might squeeze up to a 31C (rounded) but the humidity is rising.

Still it's a good 3C above the GFS forecast max, which suggests 35-36C is on the cards tomorrow. New July record probably just out of reach though.

23.5C was the high here today - the high uppers were moderated by a brisk easterly coming in off the sea. It was 28C earlier in Sittingbourne, just a few miles inland.

It'll be a little warmer tomorrow but I'm expecting the forecast ESE'ly will actually be another sea-breeze-reinforced easterly. Thankfully the 30s should be avoiding this area tomorrow!

I doubt we'll see anything higher then 31-32C, and even then this is likely to be in the usual favoured spots. Thankfully I live in one of those spots should the wind back northeast 😄.

I think north of Leeds/ Manchester temperatures will do well if they make it 26C.

I just get this feeling that it will end up being watered down, and shifted more east closer to the time.

In the Borders for 3 days and a humid 25 C max today in the Jedburgh/St Boswells area....Some sun but large areas of stubborn stratocumulus didn't break until 11am. Some evidence of convection now to the N and NW towards Edinburgh and alto cumulus visible to the south. Hope I get some of Carol's Humdingers tomorrow night.......so to speak! She forecast them from Wimbledon this morning....said they would affect N England and Scotland

Very clear skies and was 35*C mid-afternoon... In Mahon, Menorca - haha.

Fascinating to read about dry, hot weather in the UK having experienced the very same down here these past 7 days.

Kind of gutted to be missing out on tomorrows event, I return Thursday when it looks relatively fresh.

Maybe Friday will deliver 30*C IMBY and Saturday higher - but not if the GFS 12z is close to the mark. The heat low moves too fast -.-

Whatever happens, I have a good stock of vit. D to keep me going 🙂

Looks like 30.4C may have been the high, with both Kew and Northolt reaching that figure.

Add 5C to that tomorrow I think.
