And I was thinking I was the only one sat in the garden enjoying a bottle.

It's so weird having a gusty easterly wind, gusting 30mph at time I reckon, and it still feeling so warm. My garden Is surrounded by 2 large greenish gardens, and I'm away from the city centre so naturally it's a little cooler then in town or even street level. Got to feel for folk in terrace houses with small gardens, they must be sweltering this evening.

Can hear rather large blobs of rain hitting conservatory roof here now...the garden will welcome it

You are spot on, sir. I know this is a family forum, but I will confess to posting this from my patio, with an ice cold bottle of San Miguel on the table next to me.

Why the warning? Well, I'm sat in nothing but my smegs   Don't worry, none of the outside lights are on and my garden isn't overlooked. Just sat here in the warmth and quiet watching the stars in the fading twilight and wishing it could always be like this.

One of the gosport weather stations I often use, and the Lee on Solent surf website are both still showing temperatures at 24.5C.

This 24.5C @ 11.50pm is very impressive.

I think I might have to take my thermometer out into the street.

Beside looking like an absolute tit holding the thermometer by some string at arms length whilst walking in the middle of the road, I can confirm it's fekin warm out!! I got a reading of 24.6C before having to come back in... Local pub has just shut.

I should add that it was still climbing slowly when before I returned to the cooler garden.

23.7c down on the south coast in West Sussex pretty amazing really... Although my 1yr old son hates it!!
A few crackles overhead. Had a shower earlier but didn't cool the air whatsoever.
It's almost like another holiday in Goa!!

35 minutes past midnight here and down to a bone chilling 23.1c

By the way, still semi naked outside with San Miguel bottle number 3.

Enjoy, all! Only happens a few times each year. Some years not at all, even down here.

Woken up by the briefest (10 seconds maybe) of power showers with large sounding drops around 02.50hrs. Currently 22.0c after an overnight low of 20.8c. The Mediterranean has arrived.

The forecasted overnight low of around 19c was a bit off the mark, 13.5c was the low and it was a pretty comfortable night.

Well, I am looking forward to today's max of 16°C here today as forecast on the BBC Breakast forecast.

(For context, it was actually a bit warmer than that at 7:30am)

Based on the same forecast tomorrow will be 5 degrees warmer here. This little spell is turning out much better than expected despite the easterly component.

Unbelievable how deeply soothing to the soul it is to step out into a warm, soupy London morning. Like a morning hug straight from more blessed places.

I have a very stressful day ahead of me involving 3 cities, 3 countries and a car crash of a meeting to come. But at least I will know as I stare out of the meeting room window that a few hundred miles away the sun is shining, grass is browning and the temperature is soaring towards 35.

Well. Yesterday I noted that minimum temp at Wisley in Surrey had been 9c. Temps there climbed to 29c. Last nights minimum there was 23c!!!

Does that mean the warm airs arrived then you think?

Already 26c across much of the South East at 8am although there are bits of cloud. Going to be scorchio.
