Someone is under that lot and having a good show. Constant thunder from those storms to the west. Lovely view from here with the sun in and out, black as night out to the west.

Wouldn't fancy being on the A1 up Ripon way just now. Those cells heading NNW, might have a side-swipe at Darlo and Durham on the way.


 


EDIT: And very impressive strike rates coming through. Would like to see some cloud height data later.

I'd not be surprised if that storm is supercellular. Strike rates have been intense. Cloud height data would help.

Storms erupting all over the Cheshire, S and W Lancs now with short sharp storms over Merseyside too. Typically, the one less strong cell has produced nothing but a ploppy shower over my location. It is chilly though at only 18c.

Raintoday has some fantastic cells appearing from nothing graphics.

Thankfully nothing so far in the South East. I'm willing it to remain dry so that tomorrow we can hit at least 28 and keep the heatwave officially going.
