Where the heck has this heat come from ?  We have a warm ENE'ly blowing. I thought today we were supposed to be in a fresher westerly ?

Lol, under this muck we're a good 5C cooler at 10:30am! There appears to be a band of cloud stretched down across the spine of the country, moving ever so slowly southeast.

Bright, warm and humid in a light breeze, 21c.

A bit of a south west breeze has picked up now and had effectively removed the humid feeling of earlier on today but it is still bright with plenty of sunshine with temperature hovering around 23 C.

As it was cloudy earlier here I decided to head east on a train to shoreham chili fiesta.

It was lovely and sunny in shoreham but not much warmer than cloudy portsmouth, and it was also very windy.

I'm now back in portsmouth and the sun is shining in all it's glory ☀️

It is also significantly warmer here then it was in shoreham, currently around the 24C mark.

Reached 21.6C but an unacceptable amount of cloud. Only recorded just over 3 hours sun which is pathetic and no way that temperatures like this would be accompanied by so much cloud in the past 

First half of the day was quite nice with sunny spells, reaching 21.3C.

In the past 2 hours or so it's completely clouded over, still remained warm, but now it's raining - which was not forecast.

 Cloudy weather doesn't bother me at all as long as it's warm, but unforecast rain is never appreciated. Boo Met Office.
