After heavy and sometimes torrential rain 5pm - 1am, since 1am not a drop.  Cannot confirm totals but its basically an autumnal day out there atm.

A very wet first half to the night with 23.4mm falling here between 17.30hrs and 23.30hrs. There were even a couple of flashes of lightning and a few bangs in the mix too late evening.

A shockingly cool July morning with a strong northerly wind blowing akin  to Autumn. Currently 11.4c after an overnight low of 11.1c.

The sunshine has just appeared. Today is going to be one of those 'recovering' type of days.

Surely some of us might get a record cool day for July.

My temp just 11.5C and this at nearly 10.30 in the morning.

Diabolical. Yet again he weather takes a turn for the worse at the weekend and yet again the weather is even worse than the poor forecast suggested.

Sunshine and light showers? Try overcast and pelting down  Cold as well at only 12.9C following the 5th consecutive single figure minimum.

The incredulous divide between weekend and weekday weather just gets worse and worse. Not one weekend day has managed 10 hours sun this summer and in July nothing better than 7.5 hours. For the second consecutive summer there has not been a single dry weekend.

Monthly rain total now stands at 125.6mm and there has not been a single instance of even two consecutive dry days. Like so many summer months since 2007 this rates amongst the most depressing I have had to endure at any time of the year. Gut wrenchingly awful

Has been a decent enough day with sunny spells and partial cloud cover (mostly stratsocumulus stuff). The brisk north west wind and the sunshine we have had today certainly did a good job in shifting yesterday's wetness as well as bringing the colour back to my lawn.

An improving day with increased amounts of sunshine and decreasing breeze.

Managed a respectable max of 20.7c.

Dewpoints fell to 6.7c for a time this afternoon.

Currently 16.7 / 10.3c and partly cloudy with a light NNW'ly breeze.
