Hola !

4 more days left here on the White Isle.

A fine and bright morning with variable cloud and Sunny spells. The same low pressure system near Biscay is also responsible for pulling up a humid Southerly feed across Ibiza too.

Currrently 27.5c at 08.50hrs after an overnight low of 26.1c. Temps are rising quickly today with a forecast max of 37c ! Not sure thats possible on an island surrounded by a sea temperature of 28c but with a direct southerly feed off Africa I suppose its very possible !

Dewpoints are on the rise again..24.4c this morning.

For a place that is basically dry and sunny in summer, meteorologically its been fairly interesting. What tends to happen is that heat and humidity builds over a period of 5 or 6 days before a change in airmass resets the pattern. The last reset from a weak cold front on Saturday 8th happened as a cold front moved in from the west then brought a welcome couple of days of a fresher NNE´ly. Sunday and Monday were sunny with temps of 30c, however, a convergence line shower occured at noon on both these days for all of 10 seconds as the E´ly sea breeze met the prevailing northerly..the sea breeze won meaning sunny conditions then prevailed thereafter.

Saturday looks the next shot at an injection of cooler air after hopefully a decent thunderstorm beforehand (yet to witness any thundery activity in the 11 days here)

A couple of days ago a high level anvil shaped cirrus spread in from the SW at 6pm as part of some sorting of decaying MCS from the Spanish mainland. It stayed dry here though.

Its been consistently hot. Hotter than I imagined. Apart from one morning when the temperature was a refreshing 24c. The rest of the time its been between 27 and 32c with dewpoints consistently 22 to 24c. Its going to be shock but a relief to get back to some freshness again.
