Nice to see the UK Met are on the cold side

Good stuff Gav, the plus points for me are the CFS V2 showing mild and the MetO showing cold. There does seem a common theme of a southerly tracking jet at this moment in time so if this continues into the end of next month then we maybe in business for a colder than average set up. Of course I remain highly sceptical of long range forecasting after being burnt too many times in the past.🙈

Thanks Gavin. Whatever way we look at it there still appears to be a background signal for a colder set up towards the latter half of winter. Interesting times ;)

thanks for taking time to do a weekly forecast terry, nice to see and hear from you weekly, and get a good indication of what lays ahead, more looking for to your winter forecast and looks as tho autumn is going to be a rough ride, I think winter is going to be interesting this year
