PS - Rodgers was also against the club signing Sturridge. And wanted Ashley Williams instead of Sakho.

Saying that, I take your (implied) point that Brenton didn't get the best out of the resources he had. Markovic certiainly springs to mind.

Instead, we've got Skrtel, who's a car crash waiting to happen. Too slow, awful on the ball (makes Salkho look like Glenn Hoddle), spends every defending corner trying to play WWE.

Ancelotti, a great manager that he is, has for the bulk of his career worked with clubs who are able to compete financially with the best in their league. Would he able (or willing) to build a success from a bit of a lopsided work-in-progress without the budget to pay top dollar?

Thanks for the reply Saint! You didn't have to go to that length but it's great to hear from a true fan perspective, so thanks.

Local Reading rag reminding readers what a disaster Rodgers was at .......er......Reading.

I'd forgotten he signed Rasiak.....just like Spurs did - and arguably one of the worst strikers ever to 'grace' the Premier League.

The nearest we have in the PL to Bielsa is Pochettino in terms of demanding fitness from his players.

Bielsa would certainly provide some entertainment with his 3-3-3-1 formation.

As pointed out by a few on RAWK, it's funny how fans of other clubs who were wanting Klopp to take over from their current manager when they left (City, Man U, Arsenal, even Chavski fans) are now saying he'll be a flop at Liverpool and he isn't really that good a manager after all.

Anyway, the first order of business for Klopp will be to get one of these for his new home. Extremely useful for matchdays, or when he goes out to dinner with the missus.

I like Klopp, which means I will quite like Liverpool now. I can't help it, he is a great character to have in the Premier League.

I'm not turning into a Liverpool supporter, don't worry! I hope Klopp does well though

We've lost two players for the rest of the season to cruciate injuries in two days

Klopp cursed?

Is it just me who thinks Maureen is setting himself up an escape route?

His ego is just too inflated to allow himself to be sacked by Chavski for being crap; instead I think he's ramping up a spat with the FA to give him the 'I've been driven out by the English footballing authorities' excuse for walking away.

If so, the escalating process could get rather funny.

Poor game - sloppy play from both sides. Klopp will be happier after that as I thought Spurs did enough to win.

Anyway, the Dippers fans are now leaving the stadium, so presumably the fumigators will be in shortly.
