This was the view from the Royal Yacht Britannia yesterday and today we have another glorious morning. It's cold with a minimum of 1 C.

October, like September, up here has been a lovely month so far, sunny and mostly dry with hardly any wind.

A much better Autumn this year than our summer!

It's actually turning out quite sunny at the moment as all the cloudy showery stuff are staying over the French side - for now. Quite cold (at least by my standards) at 10 C and the dampness from last night's showers and the brisk north east breeze is adding to the chill.

Being quite a mixed day so far, as we alternate between basking in warm Autumnal sunshine and blustery cold rain showers ratting through.

12.6 C under a moderate north east wind but quite gusty in the showers. 6.3 mm of rain has fallen since my station reset at 11 pm last night.

A wonderful set of snow showers rattling in off the North Sea here....or at least they would be, if it was in January! Fecking cold rain for now.
