A shockingly cool mid October day with a current temperature of 7.3c that hasn't moved for several hours.
We are on course for our first single digit maximum temperature of the season today if it stays cloudy. The first single digit maximum locally normally occurs in the first or second week of November.
EDIT..with 850Hpa's of -2c and 925Hpa's of +3c (remnants of the borderline wintry European cold pool) in stagnant cloudy and damp conditions without any boundary mixing its no surprise its so cool today.
