Day 5 of this misery..hopefully only 5 more days left now before a switch in fortunes.

A slightly brighter and dry start here today..we have lost the heavy convective look and replaced it with more of a thinner stratocumulus this morning. I spotted a few patches of blue recently but heavier cloud now appears to be moving in from the NE and a check of the radar would suggest that more showers are likely in a couple of hours time.

Must say this 'settled' spell has been very disappointing here, with every day the past week affected to some extent by showery rain from the North Sea.
Even today fine drizzly showers are cruising in and yet again the sun has been fleetingly glimpsed between looming low cloud.
Temperature sits mainly between 9C and 11C with little variation.
Not really cold but far from warm and it's uncomfortable out in the wind without a coat.
