I love these  Would be interesting to see say, 5 days further on from the start of each easterly, to see how things had evolved and if the cold really took hold

Some fantastic set ups there.
Can see how '87 was a good un. Interesting chart for 1962 which shows HP over both Iceland and Scandinavia. That 1890 chart with that very cold air further upstream looks ominous.
