Violent winds gusting close to 60mph the past hour, but subsiding now.
There was a heavy burst of rain as temperature briefly touched 10C but it has cooled off again now.

Amazing to read of snow up north. Down here it is 13C and very windy. (And I've just discovered one of my fence posts has rotted through and snapped at the base 😞 )

Amazing contrasts N-S today; can anybody ascertain where the steepest thermal contrast is? I see Edinburgh now has wet snow, but Yorkshire is still in double figures. Where's that line?
