Violent winds gusting close to 60mph the past hour, but subsiding now.There was a heavy burst of rain as temperature briefly touched 10C but it has cooled off again now.
Moderate to heavy showery rain and strong, gusty winds. A pinch under 11C, currently.

Amazing contrasts N-S today; can anybody ascertain where the steepest thermal contrast is? I see Edinburgh now has wet snow, but Yorkshire is still in double figures. Where's that line?
