Just recently moved house again (!!) - only around the corner from my previous home but this house is, in my opinion, in the perfect spot. Anyway, posted some initial snow photos on my Twitter/FB pages but thought I'd share here too. Not the insane amounts (yet) but we are off the mark.

Superb pictures for snow-lovers - driving might be more problematical though!

Thanks Mike - always a pleasure to see decent snow every year, when by and large we are scratching around for a flake (especially down here LOL).

Thanks for the photo's Mike. It may be your starter for ten, but just one snowfall like that around here would satisfy me. Anymore would be a bonus.

Is that a petrol (sorry-diesel) - station in the top photo, with its light hopefully on?

Thanks Mike, great snow porn!

I suspect looking at your photos will be the nearest most of us will come to see snow this winter, it really is bitter/sweet looking at your photos!

Keep them coming.

Mike . What is your altitude above sea level where you are. Do you have a precise figure.?

Yes.... that is a gas station in the first photo

Lesjaskog, 10km E (and my initial home) is 620m asl but Bjorli is actually even less; 580m. It isn't all about altitude as just being inland helps a great deal. I recorded temperatures down to -37c last December and at the same time, 55km away on the coast, it was a mere -7c.

More snow to come in the coming days and so I'll post more photos soon.
