Sadly I think Frank with its associated rain and wind may cause a few problems over the next day or two over parts of N England Scotland.
The Met Office already have a number of wind and rain warnings out in relation to this system.

The euro4 models show a large area of heavy rain for must of England and Wales/Scotland for much of tomorrow and into tomorrow night.
Yes, a nasty little bugger if ever there was one- just glad I am not living on Iceland!
Some fearsome rainfall totals will make the news no doubt
already winds of 59 mph winds from buoy 62023 off ireland
Forecast rain amounts from Frank have reduced somewhat but still 50-100mm across N and W high ground says EURO4
A decent start but the storm approaches

Worrying
the latest BBC weather has 120mm in the north.

Remember when they talk of temperature it is °F.
If he is as good as his word, he will be making updates during Wednesday.
It'll be no comfort to those in SW Scotland, NI and Cumbria, but latest projections don't look like delivering huge amounts to the Dales and SUNWAC catchments at least.

It's odd to see a storm tracking North West.
Is there a high building to the East?.
What is going on is very interesting.

Windy overnight but little rain

Just a bit windy here nothing exceptional, 11.2c.

It has been very windy here overnight and the winds are still gusting to in excess of 50mph. Meanwhile parts of SW Scotland are also now getting soaked and I suspect flooding is inevitable.
Further afield in Iceland I see that the SLP in the northern town of Akureyri is down to a very low 933mb!

There's a frontal wave down over the SW heading NE.
Picked up nicely on the euro4 model.
Looks like being a wet afternoon here.
Funny you say that Marcus as I was thinking the same. I could be wrong but my feeling is that Frank has so far been a bit of an anti-climax. Of course, my comment isn't meant to detract from the actual people affected and suffering from flooding/wind but in terms of the 'storm' itself, maybe a slight over exaggeration? Like I say, I understand the effects of the cumulative rainfall etc but am making reference to Frank itself.

You wouldn't say that if you lived in parts of Scotland - areas until now not affected by flooding (such as parts of Royal Deeside) have been badly hit. It has been both very wet and very windy in large swathes of Scotland. Not by any means unprecedented but certainly newsworthy https://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/fp/news/local/firefighters-carrying-evacuation-north-east-village2/
I think Braemar has had around 70mm of rain since midnight which I believe is worse than was predicted for that a by the forecasts (if not some of the actual models) and in hindsight the amber warnings have been extended.
