Mainly clear skies now that the Channel showers has moved on and the rising sun has just popped out from behind a retreating anvil-topped cumulonimbus. Much better, but it is rather wet after last night and this morning's showers has given us 5.1 mm since my station reset at 11 pm last night.Also feeling relatively cool and fresh at 8.1 C but at least the wind has died down for now.

Breezy, clear, dry air: first day for ages with a RH < 50%. 7.7C feels beautifully crisp. All this recent muck helps me appreciate the good things.

When I went for a walk to tesco at 7am this morning I thought it would feel cold but it felt perfect. The wind had died down from last night and there was no chill to it. Humidity was down too, it was 9C, the sky was clear and the day was breaking out east, it was fantastic.

P.S. Just about to post this and I can hear hail hitting the window! It has gone quite dark outside, I wasn't expecting hail today.
Rather cloudy and much cooler but dry, 6.3CWind is still pretty annoying with gusts to 30mph
Looks like two squal lines on the radar. First one just went through it got very dark, very windy, and it contained some heavy hail. Temp has dropped from 11.4c to 8c!
10.3 and blustery now, the sun well-hidden behind organised regiments of cumulus and what looks like a flanking back-up of dark stratus or nimbostratus. Bringing the bedding in from the line.
