Yes, same here; the white gulls look like paper in the wind.

First raindrops right now- well 10seconds ago. Increasing rapidly but nothing like yesterday. A few miles to the south, the raggedy back edge of this shower line, with blue showing through again.

Blue bits were a false promise. Rain again. I wonder what the tree rings will look like for this warm, wet month but with little sunshine.

Had the squall Sevendust; would've loved a flash or two.

A narrow band of moderate to heavy rain just passed through, with a corresponding drop in temperature of around 3 degrees. Temperature now at 8.4°c.

Dougie- your thread is as reliable as Old Faithful and it creates a kind of verbal met-map for the whole country (not just official stations). It brings so much more than a weather report so thanks and a Happy New Year.

After what has been a fair day with decent sunny spells, the squall feature has finally just arrived here with blustery rain and gusty winds but I have experienced worse.
