Just escaped an air frost last night with a minimum temperature of 0.2C

Currently cool with hazy sunshine.

Better enjoy it while it lasts as there's a warning for rain for the heavy showers tonight in the far SE.

We got up to 8c earlier exactly as forecast but in the light winds and sunshine the sun felt beautiful on my face. It felt much warmer more like the last days of Feb.

Always suspicious of predicted rain to snow events as they often fail to deliver
However tonight it has already turned to snow so suspect may actually happen
Assuming we get a decent fall then some very low night time temperatures may follow over the next few nights

Chucking it down, very heavy and definitely some splodges/sleetiness/wet flakes. Not enough to turn to snow, but even so.......

Absolutely awful weather outside, I cannot wait for a few sunny days! It could turn a bit more interesting for those on the windward slopes of the Pennines in a bit as the rain is turning sleety even here.
