Torrential rain overnight, and again for the past couple of hours now with Northerly gale blowing but trying to turn to snow now as colder air digs in behind the weather front, first flakes that have fallen here since November...sea sounds very rough too, big tide tonight...!!

This is interesting. That patch of showers affecting north wales is entirely hail. Must be pretty unusual to get 100% hail showers in the UK

Wet snow in Norwich this morning, car temperature guage said 3 degrees. Now back on the coast and its 2 degrees, a howling wind and very sleety.

Been raining here since 4pm ,it turned to proper snow about 19:30 and just looked outside and it's now starting to lay on the roads and grass , current temp 0.5c

Clear spells and a cold wind from the NW. As Tim says above, the temperatures are not dropping too fast as the wind is keeping them above freezing for now. I think it's forecast to become lighter later tonight so we should see some sub-zero temps by morning.

Currently 0.6C here.
