A sharp frost developing here.  Preparing the ground for whatever flakes should fall onto it later.  I'm expecting a dusting at best IMBY, most times in these situations its diddly squat, but we shall see...

Well it seems to be heading straight for me. Just been chopping logs in the garden and in the last half hour or so it has clouded over quite a bit.

GFS seems to suggest I may be too far east though - the mild air seems to be pushing through more than first thought. Will be touch and go...

I've gone public on facebook highlighting the dusting potential. The excitement though is tangible.

It has just started snowing, albeit lightly. I suspect a light dusting of anything but I didn't expect anything earlier on so who knows, can't rule out anything as it stands

Not that much faith can be put on the BBC website, but my local forecast updated at 17:10 to indicate 7 hours of snow including heavy stuff from 00:00 - 02:00 tomorrow morning........I'll take that

Moderate snow now. Just hope it lasts as the band looks very thin now.

Well after being in the middle of the predicted snow, it looks like it's passed to our east and will miss out. Can't say I'm surprised but don't think we will see much here this evening now

Drizzle here, looks as if the band is at least 50 miles East of where it was predicted, so doubt we will end up with anything in the end, never mind 8 hours of snow .

Not really a surprise though seeing how difficult it has been to predict the weather this week, plus it is always difficult with snow in any case.

The MetO forcast for the W Midlands says sleet and snow overnight.   The MetO not-a-forecast shows heavy rain for Evesham.   Based on the radar I doubt I will get more than 0.5mm of drizzle and more tornadoes than I do snowflakes.

But some will be lucky.

And there is always next year.   Not as though we expect snow in these parts in winter.

Been snowing for an hour now but just a dusting on some surfaces, pretty but immeasurable. Hoping it lasts a while longer but the band looks v thin + even at its heaviest point so far (now) it is still generally v light.

nonetheless a pleasant surprise given the forecast in last 12/36hrs
