I think Liverpool dodged a bullet. Would have been nice to pick him up for a reasonable outlay, but glad we didn't overpay for someone who presumably would be most focused on securing the next pay rise.

In other news from the Liverpool soap opera, it's being reported that Sturridge wants out for being criticised for missing most of the last 2 seasons (when Liverpool really needed him) through a succession of injuries.
