Up & coming Centre Half talent Matt Miazga (NY Red Bull, US international) is set to join Chavski for £5m.

Stupid boy. Do these people never learn? He'll disappear at the Chavs, get loaned out several times, never develop his career, be an also-ran by mid-20's.

You both make great points re: playing young players

Speaking of Chelski and loan players, looks like Pato is arriving on loan from Corinthians.

A wasted talent so far, and Chelsea don't have a great recent record of resurrecting failed potential so I'm fully expecting this to be a flop signing.

Meanwhile, Citeh & the Bitters serving up a cracker, by all accounts.

Yep, it's a great game. Everything Liverpool vs Stoke wasn't. It's results that count though, and I fancy Everton to nick this to give us the final we all want to see!

Did anyone see the De Bruyne injury? he injured himself in the rather pathetic way he tried to make far more of the original 'foul' (which was even given as a foul, rightly so) by throwing himself on the floor.

I'm not one to wich injury on others but in this instance you can't help but think Karma had an influence...if I was Man City I would refuse to pay him until the injury clears up and he plays again. It wasn't in the line of duty it was his own fault.

Robles, the Everton 'keeper made me laugh, trying to drag him to his feet.

Liverpool's move for Teixera is off.

As more detail emerges, it looks like Shakhtar have kept moving the goalposts on price. Initially the price was widely reported to be €50m (around £36m) and we offered £24m.

Talk of us upgrading our offer to €36m (so £27m'ish).

The Shakhtar chairman now saying he wouldn't sell for less than €70m (£50m)

Stupid money

He's 26, had one break-out season in a league that's below even the Scottish Premier in terms of quality level, never been capped by Brazil (who even recently recalled the ageing Kaka, and have played some very average players over the past few years). Who knows how he'd pan out in the EPL, where there's no shortage of hugely-rated players who've struggled to adapt here.

Yesterday morning on RAWK, when it seemed a good chance that the deal wouldn't go through, someone posted a link to SkyBet, where they were offering 5-1 that Teixera stayed at Shakhtar. Within an hour or so (many posts saying they'd stuck £10/£20 on it, the odds were down to 6-5. Now they're 2-9. Of course, the plastics could nip in at the 11th hour but it now seems unlikely. Could be easy money for those who took the bet.

We had the same problem with Dnipro & Konoplyanka in Jan 14. We offered them the release clause; their shyster of a chairman still refused.

John Terry to leave Chelsea at the end of the season , it seems they dont really give a toss about players who are time served .
