Tonight 10pm in Essex... Pressure dropping fast now down to 989mb, rain 1.5mm, max gust 23mph @ 8pm on a very sheltered anomometer average windspeed 14mph. Temp 7.4c

Amazing tropical intensity rain blowing across like steam with trees bent double from the wind. Couple of loud cracks of thunder in the mix too. One of the larger shower cells motoring through but not hanging around. It's a wild night.

Gone quiet again now as I was typing that last post. Just a normal windy night again, but those are punchy showers! Radar suggest an embedded squall line - fun!
