Fair with sunny spells and partial cloud, there was a light passing shower earlier on. Feeling cold and fresh at 6 C in the brisk north west breeze.

This is more closer to my kind of winter.

A little surprised to see a frost early this morning with temps below freezing point which was not forecast. Currently 5.4c in damp, soggy sunshine. Absolutely no drying to be had at all. 1001.6 mb rising.

A fine mist hangs like a translucent waistcoat about the midrift of the town- the higher ground holding on to something cleaner. It's a winter's mist- might become fog- sharp on the lungs if you breathe hard.
