Glorious day - Been working outside in a t-shirt despite it starting at -1.4'c earlier! First butterflies seen in the garden which were Brimstone and Small Tortoiseshell. Several bees, bee mimics, flies, ladybirds and a queen wasp.

Hi Long-term lurker on here. I'm interested weather people still think Spring is notably advanced.

Down here (SE London borders\Kent) it seems to have slowed down considerably during March after what seemed like a very early start (some Daffodils in December, trees blossoming in January). Now it seems to be more or less average, or maybe a week ahead (my crocuses are just finishing, and Daffodils which usually flower in April, look to be coming out in the next week or so). Magnolias in particular, seem to have started blossoming in late January\early Feb and then been stuck still since then

I remember thinking how exciting it was when I saw cow parsley in full flower in march 1998 in Hordle, near Lymington. If I recall, it actually gave my heart a few bumps! Funny what you remember.
