A rather cloudy and damp start but bright after the overnight squall arrived at 01.40hrs woke us up with a burst of hail.

Cloudy but in a bright way with the sun shining weakly through a veil of cirrostratus, also drying up too.

Still on the nippy side at 7 C with a slight breeze, have turned the heating on to get rid of that clammy chill indoors.

Heavy snow the past hour, it isn't settling here though at 1.5C
Hills look white - almost through now anyway so will be a brief cover.

The veil of cirrostratus gave off this sun halo earlier on this morning (this isn't my photo, a friend sent that to me in Facebook as he took it at the newly restored Harbour Arm).



There is a bit more in the way of cloud now, with cumulus getting more involved but still quite bright in a photography studio kind of way.

Flash of lightning and a loud rumble just now.  Hailstones too.

Turning out fair and bright as the cirrostratus thins out and with the showers avoiding us. Still a bit on the fresh side at 10.9 C and 58% humidity, especially as there is quite a strong west wind anyway.

After a mostly cloudy morning with a few light showers it cleared up nicely around 3pm and was quite a nice afternoon. Reached 12.5c at 5:30pm so about the same as yesterday which was 12.6c.
