1mm so far. The prospect of at least a few dry days for some areas this week. A big question mark for next weekend ..

Still a big question mark for the weekend here! Saturday has the biggest risk for showery precipitation, then maybe a mostly dry theme thereafter for some time - maybe a different story further south .. at least for a time! 7.6mm so far this month - so drier than normal at this stage - the month's average being 62mm.

The previous 2 days dry but a modest 3.8mm today - that would have been at least double the amount without the Pennine rain shadow. Total now at 20.8mm .. so very average atm .. 62mm being the May average.

Only 2.2mm so far, hard to see how it can get to average (52mm) - though a couple of thundery showers could soon change that.

A dry day here today, just 2mm to add from some showery rain overnight. Total now at 22.8mm. I mentioned having hedgehogs in the garden - handy for predating on slugs 'n' snails in the often damp conditions here .. well, I've since found out that slugs 'n' snails can be lethal to hedgehogs!  ..  http://thehedgehog.co.uk/feeding-hedgehogs/slugs-and-snails/

Another dry interlude .. nothing measurable since the early hours of the 11th. Maybe something measurable by the 18th. Total remaining at 22.8mm. These alternating dry/wet conditions with plenty of sunshine mixed in are certainly making the garden grow!

We are still on 2mm, I think it could easily be the driest month in a long time.
There will be some later this week but the following week dry again so under 10mm is possible.
March 2011 had only 7.8mm
